Tayla Hartemink (Tūhoe) is an illustrator and designer from Aotearoa, New Zealand. Through her artwork, she explores her identity as a contemporary Wahine Māori (māori woman) by referencing and drawing from pūrākau kōrero (traditional stories). Within her practice, she uses digital illustration/design programmes to create graphics that can be printed, lasered and projected. She hopes to express the feelings and connections that modern Māori people their rich history and culture.
